If you would have told me last October that we would be watching the Tigers play the ALCS with a chance to go to the World Series, I would have thought that you were insane. However, the improbable sometimes happens. As a couple of my cousins have put on their blog, I will now finally put on my own blog. My grandma was the biggest Tigers fan I've even known. She always stood with them through the rare thick and often thin. When I think back on my Grandma and her "Grandmaisms", ranking right up with the chocolate milk in the green glasses was watching Tigers baseball. Grandma sat in her chair, which had been Grandpa's, and Buddy would sit by her side. I'm sure Leah & Matt saw this way more than I did, but it's still one of those fond memories. I found the following video on my cousin Matt's blog. The video reminds me of stuff I miss from home...the Ren Cen, WJR, Ernie Harwell announcing the game, and of course, Tiger's Stadium....oh the memories from there. Also, I love seeing all the 80s in it's height and glory and the analog video. (On a quick fashion side note, seriously folks? We have to relive the styles of the 80s again? I guess it was destined, since we just finished the 70s bellbottoms and all, but come on, the 80s? I thought we could kinda skip around that. Oh well. Bring on the leggings.)

Oh yes, the 80s! Who could forget Swatch watches, teddy ruxpin, and MC Hammer (STOP! Hammer time!)
On your video, I especially liked the scary girl with teased hair! It was rad!
Unfortunatly, I think you're talking about Boy George, so you're kinda right about that "girl" thing. :) If they made a video today, it would include the unfortunate souls of Kid Rock and Eminem.

You forgot to mention how much you miss ME!!!!!!
How could I forget Benny Seacrist. It wasn't intentional, I promise. :) By the way, we taught Lauren "Go Blue" although it sounds like "Bo Byou" but it's the thought that counts.
Ah, that's better. :)
And good for you for teaching your daughter such an important phrase. It's always best to start them off young!
