Apparently I'm not dead after all

Wow. I haven't been away from the blog in this long since I had Ryan, and even then, Scott updated it for me. No, I'm not dead, just insanely busy and mentally insane. I feel like those people that start blogs and then never update for almost a year *ahem* Jacob, Joy, Sher *ahem*. Anyway, life has been crazy and so much has happened. I'm sure I've lost my faithful few followers in this blogging hiatus, but I hope to get them back. A video of Ryan walking would surely do that. However, the key would be to actually capture Ryan walking on video. That, my friends, is the problem. See, in the past week or so, he's really started to walk willingly without holding onto anything. Before, he would walk by himself for a couple steps, until he realized he was touching anything. Now, he's getting a little more confident, but now he's shy about his new ability. He won't perform for anyone or if the camera is out. I tried to get him to stand with Lauren, but he wouldn't cooperate then either. (This was just as I was getting the kids ready for the day, hence the half-dressed pictures.) Anyway, one of these days I'll trick him into walking while filming him.

However, a couple weeks ago, I did take Ryan in to get his first real haircut. It's not like he desperately needed it, but his hair was driving me nuts. It was all uneven and starting to get long around the ears. If I cut it myself, the salon wouldn't have let me count his first "salon" haircut as his "first" haircut. Anyway, it was worth the penny to get it cut. Now, at least it's all even.
