Lessons I learned

Our pastor made this comment a couple weeks ago and it was brought to the forefront of my mind with the Micheal Vick plea today. (His point was t have a mind of mature thinking.) It's kinda funny how messed up the world is.

I’m grateful for the love and affection so many of you express. The fact that I am often in your thoughts is
illustrated by the e-mail I received the end of last week.
“You often give me some advice (at least from the pulpit). Today I would like to give you some. If you really love your wife, you
will pass this on to her for her benefit.
“A couple of days ago, I read where that lady in Tennessee (who shot and killed her preacher husband) was released from jail after
serving just two months. Today I am reading where Michael Vick will get at least 1 year in jail for killing a pooch.
Mathematically, that means one dog's life is greater than six preachers. Therefore, the moral of the story is this: If your wife gets
angry with you, she would be better off shooting you than your dog.”
