We had a very laborious Labor Day weekend. Friday, after work, we went to the Drive game. Saturday, Scott had his fantasy football draft (while he was doing that, I was braving the return line at WalMart--it was surprisingly short considering it was the Saturday before Labor Day) and then we pretty much just picked up the house. Sunday, we had church and then Scott's cousin Devin and his wife Lori came down in the afternoon for a cookout. Monday was Emma Larsen's birthday party in the afternoon, but in the morning, Scott groomed our yard (mowed, edged, killed weeds, etc). I on the other hand, worked on the last of Lauren's room. What's left to be done? you ask. Well, I did her valance for her curtains and started the bed skirt. And that, my friends, was our Labor Day.
Here are some random pictures from the weekend.
This is Lauren riding her bike. Notice what it says on the back. "Roadmaster" my eye! She was all over the place. On the steps, on our brick edging, not to mention the grass.
Ryan was playing with Lauren's kitchen basket (I know some of you are reading this are wondering why he was playing with her kitchen stuff. It's not his fault! Lauren has more "girly" toys than he has "boy" toys, so stuff like this naturally happens. :) ) and he fell backwards into it and got stuck. Like any good mother, I had to take a picture before I got him out.
Here is Lauren's curtains and bedskirt. I think Lauren's room is done. There are a couple really cute prints on clearance at Target that I'm contemplating getting for her room.
Here is a couple random pictures of Ryan enjoying his snack (some animal crackers and some "pink water" in his cup from the Riverbanks Zoo) in peace and quiet once Lauren went down for a nap.
