Enchanted Tracks

On Friday night, we went to this thing called Enchanted Tracks at the local ice rink. They have a train that goes around the soccer fields next to the ice rink. They charged kids to ride the train (the adults were free) half way around the tracks, go trick-or-treating in a little Disney-inspired village and then ride the train the rest of the way back. In the village, there was the castle with Belle & the Beast, the forest with Robin Hood, a diamond mine with a dwarf, the dwarfs cottage with Snow White, Shrek's swamp, and a couple other places, but I can't think of what they are now. Anyway, this was the info that I read about the event online. I thought this would be the greatest thing ever. Well, it wasn't quite all that it was cracked up to be. We waited in line for the train for 2 hours. We got off and got 6 pieces of candy and a couple trinket-y toys, and then ended up walking back because we didn't feel like waiting in line again for the train. Oh well. Live and learn. The kids had fun, and that's all that matters.

This was the first 1/2 hour of waiting in line. After this, we sent the kids to go play in the soccer fields where they had different stations set up with moon bouncy thing, face painting, balloon artist, costume contest, etc....
