Our southern snow

Well, yesterday, we had a snow day. Wednesday night, after Shepherding Groups, there was about an inch or so everywhere. By early Thursday morning, there were a good couple inches. However, by the time the kids got up, it was freezing rain, making the snow crunchy and easy-to-melt. This is not the good snow of the north, but hey, it's snow. Also, please forgive the kids' "boots". Since I'm too cheap to pay lots of money for snow boots for the kids for our one day of snow, they just wore socks over their tennis shoes to keep the snow out from going up their snow pants legs. FYI, it didn't work as well as I thought it would. Both kids had wet feet when we got in the house. Oh well. One day's not going to kill them. :)

Before I post the pictures from yesterday, here is a random picture from Tuesday morning. I was getting everyone ready for Bible study. Lauren's bangs looked like she had slept on them wrong and they were sticking out somewhat. As I sprayed her hair with water and tried to get them to lay down flat, I realized they were flat. Here bangs were uneven. I asked Lauren if she had cut her bangs. She nonchalantly replied, "Yes." At least she was honest. I told her that we only cut paper and not hair. Anyway, check out her bangs. They go higher to lower from your right to left.

Nice bangs!! Actually at least they are fixable and it's not a huge chunk. :)
