Ryan's birthday party was in the Disney-Pixar Cars theme. He's all boy. He loves all sports, cars, and (especially since we have construction going on just on the other side of our street) all construction/building vehicles/equipment. Anyway, here are some pictures. I feel ashamed to show my cakes. Other blog readers of mine are such cake magicians. Anyway, I made two cakes. The first was your traditional 9x13. However, the other was this cool pull-away cake from Wilton. I made this one for the kids. It's a bunch of car parts put together and then frosted to look like one big cake. However, it comes apart in small cupcake-size pieces, perfect for little hands.
