Lauren just loves her little brother, and part of that love includes hugs. She loves giving him hugs all the time. It wouldn't be such a bad thing, though, if she didn't squeeze him as hard as she can around the neck. She means well, but she has no concept of choking. Although it's frustrating trying to keep the loving to a minimum, I'd rather it be hugs than the punches that will come later in life.
In this picture, Lauren is actually trying to hold him all by herself, much to Ryan's dismay.
