Today was Lauren's first trip to the zoo. Although the Greenville Zoo is barely a zoo, she still had a blast. She loved watching the animals and she couldn't get enough of the cheetahs, or "kitty"s. She wanted to get in the cage with them. Something inside me says that they wouldn't be as patient with Lauren pulling on their tails as Ally is. Also, she kept waving "bye" to the animals, even if we just got up to the cage. We went to the zoo with the Hockemas. Jennifer said that they were coming to Greenville, so we met up and had a picnic lunch and then went to the zoo. After the hour of walking around, it was so hot, yes, hot, that we went and got some ice cream. Now, we're not just talking about any ol' ice cream, but Cold Stone. The kids got their ice cream from Brusters, but the adults & Lauren (she ate about 75% of my ice cream) had Cold Stone across the street. Lauren got some sun. She looks so cute with a tan. Scott had a golf tournament this morning. His team took 2nd place. He got a trophey and a gift card. He was able to meet up with us after ice cream. Today, with the exception of a major battle of the wills this morning, has been a very exciting & fun-filled day. The pictures by the window are at the "kittys". However, they wouldn't come close enough to get in the picture. Lauren also tried feeding the ducks her Ritz crackers. Then the other pictures are the kids on the only bear in the entire zoo.
