Well, it's hard to believe that it's that time again. Another month has passed and it's almost Ryan's first birthday. So much has happened to him in this month. He has 4 teeth, with 2 more trying to push through. He got his first "haircut". He got the flu. However, he's still a real lightweight.
Yes, Ryan got 2 more teeth a couple weeks ago. Apparently, though, gap teeth run in the family. He did what Lauren did with her teeth. He got his bottom middle 2 teeth, then the 2 upper outer-middle teeth. He is now working on the 2 top middle teeth. Lauren, however, had her gap-teeth for a couple months before they filled in.
I also gave Ryan his first "haircut" this week. I got tired of his ponytail-like hair. The hair all over his head was short, but the hair above the hair on the nape of his neck was really long. It hung over the hair on the nape of his neck. In fact, it was always hanging down on his shirt. I couldn't take it any more. I snipped of the ponytail, which happened to be about a 1" curl. Oh. I also cut 3 stray hairs that were almost as long as Lauren's hair.

Looking at Ryan's pictures, you wouldn't think that he's a scrawny kid. Apparently, though, he's still smaller than Lauren was at his age. (And I thought she was skinny!) That being said, he did have the flu. What I'm getting at is ever since Ryan's 9 month checkup, he's been going in every 3 weeks for a weight check. Well, he was gaining significant weight until he had the flu. Now he's 16 lbs 12 oz at 11 months. I guess that's 0.2 percentile for weight. I thought Lauren was skinny at 18 1/2 lbs at her first birthday. Who knows. Hopefully, now that he's feeling better, he'll gain all sorts of weight in the next month. However, just my luck, as soon as he starts gaining significant weight, he'll start walking and running and then lose a little bit. Whatever. I have small kids.
