J-D has a costume party for the kids each year. As we all know, Lauren was appropriately a mouse last year. What could possibly top that? you ask. Well, how 'bout a pint-sized 50's bop girl. With my mom's help, Lauren is the cutest little bop girl you've ever seen. There is one minor exception to her authentic look. I was going to buy sunglasses and pop out the lenses to give her the official look, however, when I went to the store, the only glasses they had left had yellow- tinted lenses. This wouldn't have been a problem becuase I got one of the lenses out fine, but I COULD NOT get out the left lens. I had 2 options....a) have her walk around with 2 different colored eyes, or b) put the other lens back in the glasses. I chose the latter. I think she's the only 50's girl with yellow lenses. What can I say.....She's a girl ahead of her times. :) The party isn't until next Friday, so I might be able to get the other lens out by then, but if not, this is what she will look like.
